Process
Meadow provides a comprehensive range of landscape architectural services from concept to completion. The process will be unique to your requirements but will generally follow the following stages.
Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is an opportunity to meet and discuss your project requirements and aspirations. It gives me an opportunity to view the site, and based on discussions with you prepare an offer of service. The offer of service will include the brief, which outlines your requirements as discussed at the initial consultation, and the associated fees and timeframes involved in developing the project which will vary depending on the scale and complexity of your project.
Phase 1: Masterplan or Landscape Concept Plans
- Develop detailed site analysis involving site measurement and levels (by surveyor if required), a photographic inventory of the site, and a record of the overall site features.
- Prepare draft landscape concepts plans of the property that describes landscape features and how the landscape of the property could be developed.
- The landscape plans will focus on overall layout, which outlines placement of hard landscaping elements, paving, lawn, specimen trees and planting areas.
- Meeting to discuss draft concept.
- Amend and finalise concept.
Phase 2: Developed Design
- Refine overall layout and further develop concept ideas
- Prepare typical cross-sections, and details that would be included in the working drawings.
- Develop materials and finishes palette.
Phase 3: Contract Documentation
- Prepare landscape working drawings based on developed design plans. This could include layout plans, cross sections, construction details of landscape elements and planting plans & schedules as required.
- Prepare landscape technical specifications as required.
Phase 4: Contract Administration
- If required site observation of implementation of landscape works, issuing contract instructions, contract administration can be carried out on an hourly basis.
